This project was a new tenant build-out for a then up-and-coming urban mixed use development. Jonesberry Books required a finished and elegant appearance while maintaining a personal ambiance. The atmosphere or this 1.700 SF (160 square meter) space needed to appeal to patrons of all ages and provide a comfortable space to entice customers to browse.
The color palette was kept neutral with a refined but fun carpet pattern, remaining enjoyable for children but not distracting for adults. A combination of natural and artificial lighting and casual seating arranged throughout the store further develops a pleasing environment. The centrally located check-out counter allows visibility for the employee and easy access for the customer.
I worked on this project while with Ponikvar & Associates.
